The Slishman Pressure Wrap is a versatile tool that is primarily designed to be used as a simple and effective pressure dressing for bleeding control. It is made of lightweight elastic and includes a slip sleeve that forms a lasso, making it easy to cinch and apply around an injured limb. It can be used on adults, children, and has proven extremely effective for K9s and other animals as well. In various locations along the length of the elastic strap are sewn-in hook and loop strips that allow the user to easily apply the wrap either partially or in full without the wrap loosening or even coming off completely during application. This compact, and universally conforming wrap can be added to first aid kits of all sizes and types whether in tactical, veterinary, industrial, and even marine applications. Because of its simplicity and its use of classic, time-tested materials, the wrap is great for use in any environment and there is virtually zero concern of deterioration or degradation. Other common applications include being used as a replacement for a tourniquet, a leg splint on-the-fly, other immobilization applications, and even dog leashes!

Are you a tower climber? The Slishman Pressure Wrap is the perfect addition to your ANSI/OSHA first aid kits. If it doesn't fit inside your existing kit, use the adhesive strip on the outside of the pouch and attach it directly to the outside of your first aid kit case. Of for those using first aid kit bags/pouches, the Slishman Pressure Wrap pouch comes with a MOLLE strap to easily integrate into existing storage solutions or even your work belt. While you hope you never need it, the Slishman Pressure Wrap is a must-have safety addition to every industrial and telecommunication work site. Check out the overview video below from Dr. Slishman himself. THE SPW is NOT intended to be used around the neck!

Primary Benefits:
  • Ultra-lightweight, weighing in at 2.7 ounces with the pouch (1.2 oz for the wrap alone)
  • Fits in the palm of your hand (4in. x 1.6in. x 1in.)
  • Flexible and soft material results in zero skin pinch and allows a variety of applications
  • Fat fingers? Sweaty palms? About to faint at the sight of all that blood? Don't worry, the SPW makes for a breezy application, so you'll still look like a pro even if you're an untrained first responder
  • With the ultra-flexible elastic band and the multiple hook and look strips, the user can adjust the pressure to a very fine degree (tighten to hemostasis, but loosen for better perfusion and pain management)

POUCH OPTION

Available with the Slishman Pressure wrap, is the black pouch, which is made of neoprene and and has a double heavy duty pull zipper. Inside is just enough space to also allow for other small first aid items like medications, band-aids, gloves, and gauze. If you're interested in CUSOMIZING your Slishman Pressure Wrap with the Pouch to include any items like this, feel free to reach out, as we can accommodate most customizations without a problem! Also on the case is a Molle strap so you can attach the pouch to an existing gear bag or even your belt.  Lastly, the pouch comes with a hook and loop strip with a heavy duty adhesive backing, so it's ready to attach to the outside of a first aid kit, maybe the side of an AED box or a bleed control kit.

GUIDELINES FOR USE
  1. There is no need to immediately unravel the entire wrap. Simply loop the "lasso" over injured limb & apply to injury (or simply wrap for entrapped limb).
  2. Cinch the wrap through the red sleeve until it is snug around the injury.
  3. While wrapping the injury, vary the width of the wrap depending on the injury (wider for longer lacerations, narrower for shorter lacerations)
  4. Tighten the wrap to the desired pressure while wrapping (tighter for critical and more profuse bleeding).
  5. Secure the wrap to the hook and loop strips to keep it from unwrapping.
  6. User can do a partial wrap or wrap all the way until the white label.
  7. Mark the application time on the white label at the end of the wrap.
  8. Adjust the pressure and width of the wrap as needed.
  9. Leave the applied pressure dressing or pressure wrap in place until clear and definitive wound management can be accomplished.
Alternatively, check out the video below for detailed application instructions.
