Big news: ASK Tower Supply has been acquired by GME Supply Co., North America's premier outfitter of safety equipment, workwear, and gear for trade professionals. This is exciting news for our customers and suppliers — here's everything you need to know.
On May 4th, 2026, we officially closed on a partnership with GME Supply Co. — a company we have long respected as the gold standard in safety equipment and trade professional outfitting. For ASK, this is the next stage of a journey we've been building toward for years. For you, our customers and suppliers, we want to be transparent about what this means in the near term and what it makes possible over time.
Who is GME Supply?
Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, GME has grown from a regional distributor into an international leader with distribution and training centers across the United States and Canada. Known as the Gear Experts, GME doesn't just sell products — they provide training, certification, and deep technical knowledge to keep workers safe and productive.
GME's family of businesses includes Columbia Safety, Farwest Line Specialties, Safety LMS, Comtrain, Gearcor, TEAM 1 Academy, and Wayne Enterprises. They serve customers across telecom, utilities, renewables, oil and gas, construction, government, and more. Their distribution network spans locations in California, Texas, Missouri, Georgia, New York, and Ontario — giving us access to infrastructure we couldn't have built on our own.
"ASK Tower Supply brings technical knowledge in the Telecommunications market that is second to none. Our goal has always been to be the best partner for our customers, and with this team on board, we are strengthening our ability to serve specific markets and drive innovation and safety across the industries we serve."
Why this partnership, and why now?
ASK has built a strong reputation as a trusted partner for critical site components, technical telecommunications consumables, and safety and rescue equipment. The opportunity to combine our specialized expertise with GME's scale, product depth, and national distribution network was simply too good to pass up.
Together, we can offer customers more products, broader inventory, faster fulfillment, and deeper technical support across more industries. For our suppliers, the combined business represents significantly expanded distribution reach and category growth potential. This is a win on all sides.
What to expect over the next 90 days
We want to be honest: integrating two businesses is real work, and we are asking for your patience and grace during the transition. Here is what the next 90 days will look like:
Now — Day 1
Nothing changes for customers or suppliers. Same contacts, same ordering process, same pricing and terms. ASK Tower Supply continues operating normally out of Albuquerque.
Coming weeks
ASK Tower Supply's products will begin appearing on GME's website. Customers will be able to transact through both platforms seamlessly. You'll see more communication from us as the integration progresses.
Within 90 days
Distribution operations will transition from Albuquerque, NM into GME's Columbia, MO network. All inventory and assets transfer. The ASK Tower Supply brand and website will consolidate into GME Supply's digital platform. ERP system migration completes.
Ongoing
Kyle Barr transitions into a new role at GME as Sr. Product Manager – Consumables, overseeing product direction across telecom, renewables, utilities, construction, oil and gas, and more. Supplier relationships remain intact with expanded growth opportunities.
We will communicate proactively before any changes happen that affect how you do business with us. If something affects your orders, your contacts, or your pricing, you will hear from us first — with plenty of advance notice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to change how I order or who I contact?
No. Your contacts at ASK Tower Supply remain exactly the same. Order entry, quoting, invoicing, and support all continue as they are today. Nothing changes on Day 1.
Will my pricing, terms, or programs change?
No changes today. All current pricing agreements and terms remain in place. If any adjustments are ever needed in the future, they will be communicated well in advance.
Will the ASK Tower Supply name go away?
Yes, over time. As distribution operations transition into GME's network, the ASK Tower Supply website and brand will consolidate into GME Supply. All of ASK's products will be accessible through GME's platform.
Where will fulfillment come from?
Initially, orders will continue to ship from our Albuquerque facility. Within 90 days, fulfillment transitions to GME's main distribution center in Columbia, MO — with access to GME's full national network of hubs and training centers.
For suppliers: will existing contracts and agreements be honored?
Yes. Existing agreements will be honored when shifting to GME's systems. Purchase orders will now come from GME's Supply Chain team, and invoices will be paid by GME's Accounts Payable department. Continue fulfilling to ASK's New Mexico facility for now — the full transition plan will be communicated in the coming weeks.
Will I gain access to more products?
Yes — that's one of the best parts of this. Customers will gain access to GME's full portfolio including fall protection, climbing gear, tools, FR workwear, safety and PPE, and training and certification programs. Suppliers will have a path to expand into new categories and markets through GME's broader distribution.
Is Kyle Barr staying?
Yes. Kyle will be heavily involved through the 90-day transition and is moving into a newly created role at GME as Sr. Product Manager – Consumables. He remains your primary point of contact and will lead product direction for consumable products across all end markets GME serves.
A note from Kyle
I want to speak directly to the customers and suppliers who have trusted ASK over the years. This decision was not made lightly. I have spent years building relationships that I take seriously, and I would not have agreed to this partnership if I didn't genuinely believe it was the right move — for you, for our team, and for the long-term health of the business.
GME is a company built on the same values ASK has always operated by: expertise, integrity, and putting the customer first. Their team has been tremendous to work with, and I'm genuinely excited about what we're building together. There will be some bumps along the way — that's honest — but we have a clear plan, a great team, and I will personally be in the middle of making this transition as smooth as possible.
If you have questions or concerns, please reach out. That has not changed.
