Heavy duty wire rope clips in galvanized drop forged steel are excellent for use as guy wire clamps in critical heavy duty applications like guy wires and support lines due to the combination of extreme strength and corrosion resistance.
These wire rope fittings consist of a u-bolt and has a saddle that is secured in place by two nuts. Wire rope assemblies generally require at least two or three wire rope clips to properly secure the ends to the length of the wire rope.
The zinc-plated components are hot-dipped galvanized, making them more resistant to corrosive elements like moisture and chloride than regular steel. All of our galvanized drop forged wire rope clips meet federal specifications FF-T-276b. Type III.
When the eye is under load, there's an increased risk the eye will elongate, which stretches the wires and shortens the rope’s working life. Adding a Wire Rope Thimble to the eye can help lengthen the service life of the rope by adding a layer of protection to the rope at the point of contact.
It’s important to note that wire rope clips are not intended for use in overhead lifting applications.
